Poster Competition: Advances in Migraine and Headache Research (An SfN 2022 Satellite Event)

When:  Nov 13, 2022 from 18:30 to 20:30 (PT)
The Association of Migraine Disorders (AMD) is hosting its fourth Society for Neuroscience satellite event. There will be a poster abstract contest focused on research that advances the understanding of migraine and headache diseases. Attendees can engage with authors during a Q&A session. AMD will also introduce the newly relaunched and revamped Migraine Science Collaborative, which includes news coverage, literature reviews, interviews with leaders in migraine and more.

The satellite event affords researchers the opportunity to highlight work that may have relevance to migraine science and make translational connections between their work and its clinical implications. It amplifies a topic that warrants more engagement from the neuroscience community and provides an opportunity for researchers to connect with peers and leading migraine science experts.

Relevant topics include trigeminal neural system, special sensory systems (ocular, auditory, vestibular and others), autonomic system, chronic pain, neural excitability, synapses, ion channelopathies, mitochondrial function, glial cells and other neuroimmunology, neuroinflammation, central sensitization, genetics, hormones, mood disorders, Circadian rhythm, sleep, microbiome, and the brain-gut connection.

The MSC will invite researchers whose relevant posters are accepted to the SfN meeting to enter this contest, but stay tuned for more details in the fall.
